coca-cola “Support Local”
Coca-Cola diverted its advertising to uplift local restaurants during the pandemic.
I was tasked with writing a love letter—from Coke to Local New York Eats—that would echo across the entire tri-state area.
A radio ad works, but put up custom neon—inspired by the "open" signs of the most cherished NYC establishments—and you’ve got yourself a small light of hope in the tough times.
Agency: In-House @Coca-Cola
Role: Concept. Script. Selected radio talent. Directed recording. Presented the work to the CEO of Coca-Cola.
CASE STUDY
“From A Place Close To Your Heart.” : 30
SFX: sounds of the city and restaurants as we cut from place to place
VO: New York restaurants are special.
The pizza joint downtown where the owner has been kneading dough every morning for 30 years.
That Korean food truck that knows your order by heart, in English and Korean.
Your favorite pub in the tri-state that always stocks Coke Zero Sugar, just for you.
And we can’t forget the neighborhood deli that knows, you and pickles - yeah, never gonna happen.
We all have that spot that we love, and that loves us back.
And those restaurants need our support
So, take out to help out - from a place close to your heart.
Because Together Tastes Better.
Coca-Cola.
